The Old Catholic Church of B.C. is an independent communion, which derives its Apostolic Succession from the Old Catholic Church in Holland, and thus assuring the Catholic validity of its rites, sacraments and clerical orders. We have listed for the purpose of history and succession the line of succession beginning in 1892 with Archbishop Gul of the Old Catholic Church of Utrecht. Both the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Catholic Church duly recognize the validity of Bishop Varlet and Archbishop Gul.
